All our canoe and kayak routes depart from the Vitrac Base.
Park your car then head to reception to be taken care of by our teams.
Remember to book a departure time and plan to arrive 20 minutes in advance. This allows us to welcome you in the best conditions.
Go safely and enjoy your route: our team gives you all the instructions to make the most of your canoe activity. Take the time to take photos, swim, or even visit a village by leaving your canoe on the bank.
Upon your arrival, you will be taken care of and a return shuttle is provided to bring you back to the Vitrac base where you can enjoy our catering services, picnic areas, the beach, and restrooms.

This is our formula for those who want to experience the Dordogne differently. Not just for a day, but a real multi-day experience, in complete autonomy, along one of France’s most beautiful rivers, classified as a UNESCO biosphere reserve.
The principle is simple: we equip you, we take you to your starting point in the morning, and then you are free. Free to paddle fast or slow. Free to stop on a pebble beach for a picnic, to dip in a shaded cove, free to camp wherever you like on the banks, in a natural bivouac or in one of the campsites along the river throughout the route.
Throughout your descent, the valley offers you its most beautiful features: dizzying limestone cliffs, spectacular meanders, and fortified castles that emerge around every bend.
Villages where you can stop, shop, and enjoy a meal. And a preserved, silent nature, which has the good taste to remind you that you are on vacation.
When evening comes, you pitch your tent wherever you fancy, by the water, under the stars, with the sound of the river in the background.
You can also join one of the valley’s campsites for a hot shower and some comfort. The choice is yours!
