Have done both the longest route and this time the 5 castles route.  The experience is so worthwhile.  This time we had the whole river to ourselves leaving at 9.30, so peaceful, we enjoyed drifting along with the dog counting all the Kingfishers along the way.  Highly recommend all the options on offer as there are plenty of places to beach up and get a snack and coffee enroute or just take a picnic.
